Poster | AVA Peer Support Principles | Client: AVA
The Haringey Women’s Voices Project was a partnership project between AVA, Solace, IMECE and Haringey Council and funded by Homeless Link. The project was focused on improving gender and trauma-informed responses to women with experiences of domestic abuse and homelessness through peer research, peer support and training.
This poster and leaflet present 6 key principles of trauma-informed peer support. These principles were co-designed with the peer facilitators after their experience of running the groups, and provide a framework for future peer support projects. The leaflet also provides a brief explanation of what these principles might look like in practice.
